It’s been a very busy summer for Nigel. Season six aboard the Canadian Empress is now complete. Over the next few weeks Nigel will be completing a couple projects that had to be placed on the summer back burner due to scheduling. A couple of smaller routines are being retired from the show after 15 years of loyal service and are being replaced with some fresh material. More updates soon.

Just over a week now until Nigel sets out for Banff Alberta. It’s a quick trip, with a gig in the heart of the town, then two days of scouting for an upcoming project. He will be heading up to Lake Louise as well to do some filming and location scouting for a project he first envisioned about thirteen years ago, and our course will make time for a little r&r in the village while he is there. Vids and pics will be posted here.

In the fall of 2010 Nigel successfully staged the biggest illusion in Canadian history by vanishing a 371 tonne cruise ship and its’ passengers. Now, moving forward, Nigel will challenge himself with the most dangerous illusion he has ever attempted… to be buried alive, LIVE! on stage in front of the theatre audience. An illusion of this nature and scale has never been attempted anywhere on stage.

The project is steadily moving forward. A major hurtle Nigel is having to overcome is how to manage the 10,000 plus pounds of dirt needed for the illusion. Not an impossibility, just a challenge. The entire event, as with “The Vanish” will be filmed for broadcast. Updates on the project will be posted here on a regular basis.
